Fall is coming, which means we’re getting close to open enrollment season for the Marketplace, and the Cover Arizona Coalition is gearing up. In preparation for the November 1^st open enrollment kickoff, Cover AZ is hosting a series of day-long trainings for assisters in Yuma (October 13), Tucson (October 15), Phoenix (October 19) and Flagstaff (October 21).

These trainings are attended by over 200 nonprofit professionals who help Arizonans enroll in free or low-cost health insurance coverage. Participants will learn about the latest changes at AHCCCS, updates from the US Department of Health and Human Services, and insights from peer organizations working to improve coverage. Over 700,000 Arizonans are still without health coverage, but Cover Arizona is expecting a big year following a recent announcement that more than $2.3 million in federal funding will be available to support outreach.
