Javier Cárdenas, MD is a neurologist with Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is the director of the B.R.A.I.N.S. Clinic and the Barrow Concussion Network, the most comprehensive concussion program in the United States. The Barrow Concussion Network provides concussion education, baseline testing, concussion tracking, and concussion consultation for all Arizona high school athletes. Dr. Cárdenas provides sideline concussion coverage for Arizona State University and the NFL. He was awarded Arizona State University’s Young Alumni award in 2014 for his work in concussion prevention and is a member of the NFL Head, Neck & Spine Committee. Dr. Cárdenas is committed to the care, treatment, and prevention of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury in children and adolescents.
