Judge Maurice “Mo” Portley, SLHI Trustee (2002-2014) and former SLHI Chair. Judge Portley serves on the Arizona Court of Appeals. He formerly served on the Maricopa County Superior Court and was the Presiding Judge of the Southeast Judicial District and the Juvenile Court. Judge Portley is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater AZ Puppet Theater, the Editorial Review Board of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, Valley Leadership, and A Stepping Stone Foundation. He is a past recipient of the 2000 Valley Leadership Man of the Year award.
