How are Phoenix-area neighborhoods “Turning the Corner” in the years since light rail planning, investment and operation began, and are those changes all good? A new online report provides a deeper look.

The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Phoenix and Arizona State University worked with local and national partners to produce insights into the experience of four neighborhoods: the Eastlake, Garfield and Camelback neighborhoods already impacted by light rail, as well as a Glendale neighborhood that is currently planned for light rail service. Turning the Corner is intended as a monitoring and information tool that analyzes demographic, income, housing (both ownership and rental), and neighborhood business data. The online report includes interactive maps and 2000 vs. 2015 data visualization comparisons that reveal stark contrasts.
